The Twilight Zone's "A Game of Pool". Written by...
Jesse: That isn't fair! You've never seen me play. Maybe I can beat you. It's possible, isn't it?
Fats: It's possible. Things change. Records get higher. But you'll never get the job done with your mouth.

my tops of the decade
Sorry, no top 10 film lists for me. But here’s my tops for random tv/film things that come to mind when I look back on the decade. Le Fabuleaux Destin d’Amelie Poulain (2001).  A lot of French films have appealed to me to visit Paris, but none so much as to make me live there like Amelie did. Crazy men. Christian Bale and his set antics and insane weight fluctuation. Tom Cruise and...

Seven Writer's Rules for Surviving in Animation →
makingofmovies: jeffreezytalks: As I get into pre-production on a potentially longer (well pretty much anything would be longer than 15 seconds) piece, I’m trying to keep in mind the rules listed above. Constant action, a reason for it to be in animation and not live-action, make the gags funny and the drama dramatic. Great read and I just had to re-blog since I am working in...

OWEN WILSON: When did you first get interested in acting?
WOODY HARRELSON: High school. I heard that if you were a terrific athlete, you could attract girls. So I had to look into some other possibilities. [laughs] I got into theater actually because of this girl, Robin Rogers. After she saw me do an Elvis impersonation in the library, she said I should be in the theater. And I was like, “If Robin Rogers wants me to be in theater, I’m going to be in theater.”

Wow. What a week. Like I said before, I’m helping the digital effects department in addition to my regular duties as a production assistant, and I am so tired…I finally got a break for lunch at 2, but I wasn’t even hungry so I went to the theater and popped Spaced (the Simon Pegg tv show before he did Shaun of the Dead) into their projector, and I just laid there and watched two...
