OWEN WILSON: When did you first get interested in acting?
WOODY HARRELSON: High school. I heard that if you were a terrific athlete, you could attract girls. So I had to look into some other possibilities. [laughs] I got into theater actually because of this girl, Robin Rogers. After she saw me do an Elvis impersonation in the library, she said I should be in the theater. And I was like, “If Robin Rogers wants me to be in theater, I’m going to be in theater.”

Wow. What a week.

Like I said before, I’m helping the digital effects department in addition to my regular duties as a production assistant, and I am so tired…I finally got a break for lunch at 2, but I wasn’t even hungry so I went to the theater and popped Spaced (the Simon Pegg tv show before he did Shaun of the Dead) into their projector, and I just laid there and watched two episodes before getting back to work.

While working on an effects reference to render, I noticed that I was clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth. I was also shaking. I put a pencil in my mouth to keep myself from grinding.

I don’t think I’ve ever been this stressed since finals week in college. So happy for the weekend.

But I am getting into the digital effects department and helping them with a lot of stuff, and I’ll be taking over the digital effects supervisor’s job while he is on vacation in addition to my job as a PA. Gonna get pretty crazy…

A little back-story on this pic. Chris Columbus didn’t want to hurt a young girls feeling for being cast as “Buzz’s WOOF Girlfriend” so he cast a young boy and dressed him up as a girl.
