She cultivates a taste for small pleasures: dipping her hand into sacks of grain, cracking crème brûlée with a teaspoon, and skipping stones at St. Martin’s Canal.

Bretodeau, The Box Man: Life’s funny. To a kid, time always drags. Suddenly you’re fifty. All that’s left of your childhood… fits in a rusty little box.
I lived on this street. Rue mouffetard. That phone booth isn’t really there. Ah movie magic…

Yann Tiersen
“Comptine D’Un Autre: L’Apres Midi”
Amélie

I neither speak French, nor have I seen this movie, but I’m told the title means “A short song about another afternoon” (or thereabouts), the main theme from Amélie. It’s a gentle tune, emphasis piano, which fits with this description from IMDB.com:

Amelie, an innocent and naive girl in Paris, with her own sense of justice, decides to help those around her and along the way, discovers love.

It just so happens that most of the most beautiful scores are written for the piano; this is one of them.

(Thanks to fantasticness for the share!)

This is just about perfect for today.

One of my favorite soundtracks.

This is me, everyday, just constantly daydreaming. Sometimes I catch myself acting it all out for real instead of in my head.
