Gerty Emoticon Suite - The main Gerty unit has a 7 inch touch screen that alternates between information displays and a “face” for Gerty in order that the crew can relate to it better. Gerty has this simple range of emoticons that combine with his disembodied voice to interact with the crew. Gerty’s expressions read as follows (from top left reading across: Happy (default), Indifferent, Sad, Confused, Excited, Winking, Unhappy, Surprised, Thinking (2 icons cycling), and “Good News”.
